MICROBIOLOGY MANAGER WANTED!
A prestigious facility in the Manhattan area is seeking a Microbiology Manager. This is a full time dayshift position and may require some weekends and off hours. Candidate will manage a clinical microbiology team that totals 60 employees, including supervisors, technologists and ancillary staff. Responsibilities for this management position include initiating and maintaining regulatory requirements, personnel competency, and maintaining educational, quality assurance, financial and operational programs.-Computer experience, particularly with spreadsheets, graphs and other statistical and financial programming is desirable. Applicants must have a Masters degree to qualify- MT- NY Licensed. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as outstanding administrative capabilities are essential, since the candidate will represent the laboratory at hospital-wide committees and meetings. Histology Technician position in Manhattan. This is a Monday-Friday 11am,-7pm position with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate will process fresh and fixed tissue for surgical, anatomical and investigative histology preparations for all patients. Required Skills: Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science with knowledge of biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, 2 years or less experience in histopathology techniques (embedding, cutting and staining slides).
